The Mettet Super Biker is one we look forward to every year. A weekend of good supermoto racing with legendary names on a great track, a dynamic FMX show and good times in the pits. This year we were escorted by the rain all weekend long. That mixed up the cards for the racing and put jeopardy on our show.
As the rain was pouring down, we cheered for FMX4Evers Bjorn van den Broeck in the supermoto. The track design was laid out by 10x FIM MX World Champion Stefan Everts and was about 50-50% tarmac and terrain with tabletops and doubles. The weather put the track and riders to the proper test and it took precious MX and supermoto experience to get around it fast and up front.
With the clouds coming in, the FMX show was on the line. We always try our best to make it happen and put on a good show even when the conditions are not right. In the wind and rain we still managed to do a few tricks and flips. Franklin went down on his flip whip, but managed to walk away and will be back in action in Bolivia.
